What is Baptism?
Water Baptism was instituted by God to be an essential part of a Christian’s Foundation. If you have not been water baptized, you need to be. Jesus stressed the vital importance of water baptism when He commissioned His followers to baptize all those who became Christians.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19
More About Baptism
Who should be water baptized?
If you have surrendered your life to Jesus and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, then water baptism is for you! We choose to get baptized out of our love for Him and a desire to obey Him. Jesus stressed its importance when He said:
The New Testament teaches that one should be baptized as a result of personal faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, not for any other reason.
(Mark 16:16 Acts 2:38)
What is the meaning of Water Baptism?
Baptism is an outward sign of an inner reality. It’s the response to the one who saved you. Like a wedding ceremony, it is making an announcement to the world saying, “My life belongs to Jesus”. It’s a promise to God and family concerning your life. It is a beginning step in a lifelong covenant with God. We are dead to sin, but alive in Christ!
(Romans 6:1-5)
